Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Matoaca). Everything went their way against the Petersburg Crimson Wave on Thursday as they made off with a 10-2 win. Devin Cooper was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.

The victory made it two in a row for Matoaca and bumps their season record up to 9-3-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those two matches. As for Petersburg, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Matoaca will venture away from home to challenge Mechanicsville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Petersburg, they will head out to face off against Dinwiddie at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
