Baseball Recap: East Bay Takes a Loss

East Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-3 to the Sickles Gryphons. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 13-0 to the Gryphons when the teams met back in March of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rory Beauford was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was David Reyes, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-2.

East Bay's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Sickles, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-5.

East Bay has already played their next matchup, a 6-5 victory against Newsome on the 1st. As for Sickles, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 17-2 win against Blake on the 1st.
