Mount Academy is a perfect 9-0 against Spackenkill since October of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Spartans at 9:00 a.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Mount Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Saugerties 3-0.

Mount Academy never let Saugerties on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-17, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Spackenkill earned a 3-1 win over Pine Plains on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Bombers: they've now won three in a row.

Spackenkill's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Mount Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 31-4-2.

Mount Academy beat Spackenkill 2-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2023. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
