Softball Recap: Geneva Comes Up Short

Geneva fell victim to Edgewood and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Eagles have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Caidyn Siegel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on one hit and racked up seven Ks.

Geneva's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Edgewood, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Geneva has already played their next match, a 19-6 win against Brush on the 15th. As for Edgewood, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 victory against Conneaut on the 15th.
