Skyline had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 14-13 win over the Culpeper County Blue Devils. Winning may never get old, but the Hawks sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.

Zayden Burks was his usual excellent self, rushing for 183 yards and two TDs while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his tenth straight game with at least 124 rushing yards.

Skyline didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Caleb Lehew and Silas Wilson. Andre Ford was another major factor on D, making ten total tackles (3.0 for loss) and defending two passes.

Skyline's record is now 9-3. As for Culpeper County, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Skyline will face off against Kettle Run at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars' defense has only allowed 5.5 points per game this season, so the Hawks' offense will have their work cut out for them. Culpeper County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
