Volleyball Recap: Union Colony Prep Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Union Colony Prep had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Prairie Mustangs, falling 3-0. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 14 in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-9, 25-9.

Dulce Morales paced Union Colony Prep's offense, picking up two kills. Morales got some help from Stefanie Gonzalez and her four assists. Nadene Chacon controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Union Colony Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Two Roads Charter School on the 23rd. As for Prairie, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Idalia on the 28th.
