Volleyball Recap: West Forsyth's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

West Forsyth had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the East Forsyth Broncos by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Wolverines, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

West Forsyth had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 27-25, 27-25, 25-21.

West Forsyth's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maddie Baggett, who had 18 digs. Those 18 digs gave Baggett a new career-high. Samantha Fields also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

West Forsyth's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for East Forsyth, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-3.

Coming up, West Forsyth will take on North Forsyth at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for East Forsyth, they will welcome Duluth at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
