Football Recap: Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy fell victim to North Rowan and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 58-0 loss at the hands of the Cavaliers. The shutout was out of character for the Gryphons seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Eli Lineberger threw for 31 yards on two of 14 attempts.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Rowan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Michael Alford, who threw for 337 yards and five touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Alford's passing game has become a key predictor of the Cavaliers' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of A'Son Best, who picked up 224 receiving yards and three scores.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4. As for North Rowan, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
