Baseball Recap: Hartfield Academy Snaps 12-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hartfield Academy can now relate to. They fell just short of the Jackson Academy Raiders by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The Hawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 6-2.

Graham Jackson was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Sam Oakley was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Hartfield Academy's loss ended a 12-game streak of away wins and brought them to 26-6. As for Jackson Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 21-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hartfield Academy beat the Raiders by a score of 6-1 on Thursday.
