Basketball Recap: Vancleave Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Gautier, Vancleave was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They skirted past the Stone Tomcats 45-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted against the Tomcats since December 17, 2016.

Stone lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kenneth Powell, who posted six points. Jhase Jackson was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Vancleave's victory bumped their record up to 3-13. As for Stone, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-8.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Laurel the next time they take the court. Vancleave will host Laurel at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Stone will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
