Basketball Recap: Grant Comes Up Short

Grant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Holy Savior Menard Eagles on the road by a 42-24 margin. The Cougars lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 70-27 score last time.

Grant's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Holy Savior Menard, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Grant Cougars duke it out with the Many Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Holy Savior Menard, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Glenmora at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th.
