It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Lena-Winslow ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Durand Bulldogs 4-3. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Lena-Winslow now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Durand, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.

Coming up, Lena-Winslow will be playing in front of their home fans against Argyle at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Durand, they will head out to square off against Pearl City at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolves have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
