Softball Recap: Reed-Custer Comes Up Short

Reed-Custer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 8-5 to the Streator Bulldogs. The Comets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 10-2.

Reed-Custer's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Streator, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-16.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Reed-Custer is set to challenge their familiar foe Coal City at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Streator will square off against rival Lisle at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
