Football Recap: Jackson Friedrichsen Leads Palmer's Defense on Friday

Palmer won the last time they faced Nebraska Christian and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers took down the Eagles 52-36. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Palmer didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jackson Friedrichsen, William Scheer, and Erik Samuelson picked up one apiece.

When it comes to explaining why Nebraska Christian lost, don't look at Micaiah Wheeler. Despite the final result, he rushed for 189 yards and three scores while picking up 8.2 yards per carry.

Palmer now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Nebraska Christian, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Palmer and Nebraska Christian will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Tigers are set to challenge their familiar foe Burwell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Nebraska Christian will square off against rival Howells-Dodge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
