Volleyball Recap: Taunton Falls Despite Big Games from Travis Johnson and Dantae Bauer

Taunton was the 3-1 winner over Barnstable when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Hawks on Monday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-18, 15-25, 25-17.

Dantae Bauer and Travis Johnson certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Bauer had 11 digs and one assist, while Johnson had ten kills, four digs, and one block. Johnson has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last 23 times he's played. Deion Le also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.

Taunton's loss dropped their record down to 11-3. As for Barnstable, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-5.

Taunton has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Boston Latin on the 13th. As for Barnstable, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against St. John Paul II on the 14th.
