Football Recap: Ozark Hillbillies vs. Charleston Tigers
Ozark managed to slip by Charleston the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Hillbillies were beaten by the Tigers 52-20 on Friday. The Hillbillies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-14.
Cade Capp threw for 40 yards on four of ten attempts. On the ground, John Skolarski rushed for 159 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries.
Carter Little was a one-man wrecking crew For Charleston. as he rushed for 161 yards and two TDs on only nine carries, and also threw for 198 yards and three touchdowns. 89 of Little's passing yards were hauled in by Deegan Todd, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Having lost for the first time this season, Ozark fell to 2-1. As for Charleston, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
After each having a week off, Ozark and Waldron will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. This will be the Hillbillies' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Charleston, they have already played their next match, a 56-14 win against Heavener on the 19th.
