Basketball Recap: United Takes a Loss

United lost against Columbiana back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The United Golden Eagles were beaten by the Columbiana Clippers 48-10. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 579th, while the Clippers are ranked 250th).

This is the second loss in a row for United and nudges their season record down to 12-10. As for Columbiana, the win keeps them at an undefeated 20-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. United will be taking part in a tournament against McDonald at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th. As for Columbiana, they will take on Poland Seminary at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Columbiana's defense has only allowed 18.4 points per game this season, so Poland Seminary's offense will have their work cut out for them.
