Soccer Recap: Steele Canyon Comes Up Short

After soaring to four goals the game before, Steele Canyon was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Helix Highlanders. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 450th, while the Highlanders are ranked 154th).

Steele Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1. As for Helix, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Valhalla the next time they take the pitch. Helix will host Valhalla at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Steele Canyon will host them at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th.
