Basketball Recap: Conrad Science Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Conrad Science and Cape Henlopen squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Conrad Science had to settle for second. They took a hard 71-55 fall against the Cape Henlopen Vikings. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Wolves of the 58-53 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2020.

Amalia Fruchtman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Cape Henlopen, almost dropping a double-double with 32 points and nine rebounds. Fruchtman's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Hudson, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten boards.

Conrad Science's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Cape Henlopen, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-7.

Conrad Science does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cape Henlopen, they will square off against Sanford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
