Volleyball Recap: Tomah Falls Despite Big Games from Karli Hall and Madyson Gilson

Tomah was the 3-0 winner over La Crosse Central when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Timberwolves fell just short of the Riverhawks by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Timberwolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Tomah ultimately came up short, they really made La Crosse Central work, particularly in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-20, 23-25, 26-24, 16-14.

Despite the loss, Tomah had strong showings from Madyson Gilson, who had 33 digs, and Karli Hall, who had 22 assists and 12 digs. Hall is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Celia Christopherson went supernova For La Crosse Central., getting 19 digs and two aces. What's more, Christopherson racked up eight assists, the most she's had since back in August.

Tomah's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for La Crosse Central, their win bumped their record up to 12-10.

Coincidentally, Tomah and La Crosse Central will both be playing Onalaska the next time they take the court. The Riverhawks will host the Hilltoppers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Timberwolves will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on October 2.
