Volleyball Recap: Giddings Takes a Loss

Giddings was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Stephen's Episcopal Spartans.

St. Stephen's Episcopal can attribute much of their success to Katherine Oehler, who had 12 assists and six digs. Charlotte Perkins also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Giddings' defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for St. Stephen's Episcopal, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Giddings is taking a road trip to face off against Round Top-Carmine at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Stephen's Episcopal, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against East View on the 16th.
