Soccer Game Preview: South Eugene vs. Grants Pass

The South Eugene Axe are taking a road trip to challenge the Grants Pass Cavemen at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Eugene will be strutting in after a win while Grants Pass will be coming in after a loss.

On Monday, South Eugene narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Roseburg 3-2.

Meanwhile, Grants Pass came up short against Willamette on Monday and fell 3-1.

South Eugene's win bumped their record up to 5-1-2. As for Grants Pass, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

South Eugene took their victory against Grants Pass in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Axe since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
