Basketball Recap: Union Picks Up 18th Consecutive Victory

Union waltzed into their game on Tuesday with 17 straight wins... but they left with 18. They walked away with a 44-34 victory over the Joseph Eagles. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Eagles are ranked 155th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Union pushed their record up to 22-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.6 points over those games. As for Joseph, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Bobcats challenge the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Joseph, they will challenge Powder Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
