Football Recap: Jimtown Comes Up Short

Jimtown played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 41-13 loss at the hands of the Concord Minutemen. The Jimmies have struggled against the Minutemen recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

CHAR'RESE BREVEARD had an outrageously good game for Concord as he rushed for 168 yards and four TDs while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 46 receiving yards. BREVEARD really tore up the turf during one magnificent 76-yard run. Concord also got a significant boost from DEREK GOMEZ, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 86 yards.

Jimtown's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Concord, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Jimtown will face off against Fairfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Concord, they will challenge Mishawaka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Minutemen their first taste of in-conference action this season.
