Basketball Recap: Granville Takes a Loss

Granville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 91-43 loss at the hands of the Hartford Central Tanagers. The Golden Horde were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-17.

It was another big night for Mckenzie Johnson, who shot 7-for-12 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 40 points and ten boards for Hartford Central. Johnson's afternoon made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Audrey Fiske was another key player, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.

Granville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Hartford Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Granville will challenge Warrensburg at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hartford Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
