Somerset barely beat Bishop Carroll the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles never let the Huskies get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory on Thursday. Considering the Eagles have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Zane Hagans and Kahne Foltz did most of the damage at the plate: Hagans went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Foltz went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That triple was Hagans' first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Means, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.
Somerset hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in nine consecutive games.
