Softball Recap: Queen Creek Snags 12th Win in Last 14 Games

Queen Creek won the last time they faced Gilbert and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bulldogs' pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won ten matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Queen Creek let Emma Reynolds and Charli Dixon run wild. Reynolds went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI, while Dixon fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-3. That's the most hits Reynolds has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Porter, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Queen Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gilbert only posted an OBP of .083.

Queen Creek has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Gilbert, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-9 record.

Queen Creek will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
