Basketball Game Preview: Bison Cardinals vs. Carter County Bulldogs

The Bison Cardinals will head out to take on the Carter County Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Bison is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Takini 60-28. The win was some much needed relief for the Cardinals as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Carter County hadn't done well against Baker recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way back in December of 2024. Carter County walked away with a 58-46 victory over Baker. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Bison's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Carter County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Bison might still be hurting after the 70-48 defeat they got from Carter County when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Bison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
