Baseball Recap: South Garland Titans vs. North Dallas Bulldogs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sunset, South Garland was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the North Dallas Bulldogs by a score of 7-3. For the Titans, this counts as revenge for the 16-7 win the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.
ADRIAN DELGADO and Jayson Centeno made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, DELGADO didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only a hit over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Centeno tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February of 2024. At bat, DELGADO scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Centeno scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave Centeno a new career-high in stolen bases.
In other batting news, Brandon Sierra was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was JARED BALDARES, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one double.
South Garland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Dallas only posted an OBP of .333.
