Elmwood had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt McComb on Monday. The Royals were the clear victors by  a  13-1 margin over the Panthers. Considering the Royals have won six matches by more than eight  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Addi Hoffman made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  strikeouts (five). She was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  runs. That  home run was  her first of the season.
 In other batting news,  Libbie Tyson was  incredible,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in March.  Dakota Rader-King was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
Elmwood's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 11-6. The  road  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for McComb, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
 Coming up, Elmwood will take on Riverdale at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for McComb, they will challenge Patrick Henry at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
