Volleyball Recap: Irvington Comes Up Short

Irvington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Nutley Maroon Raiders. The Blue Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Maroon Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Irvington's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Nutley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

After both having extra time off, Irvington and Union will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nutley, they will welcome Lyndhurst at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
