Brock Stewart Dazzles in Celeste Win
Starting off the list is Celeste's Brock Stewart, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Stewart rushed for 148 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Those 148 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
Celeste's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6. Stewart and Celeste will take on Maud at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jonathan Morgan Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Clarksville got the W thanks in part to Jonathan Morgan playing the best football he has all season. Morgan threw for 252 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 142 yards while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now passed for three or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season.
Clarksville's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. Morgan and Clarksville will challenge Linden-Kildare at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Cumby was sadly handed a defeat on Friday, but Justin Green did his best to prevent it. Clarksville had no answer to Green as he forced a fumble and made 23 total tackles (1.0 for loss).
Cumby moved to 4-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. They and Bowie are set to duel on Friday.

Dakari Johnson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Cumby over Clarksville
The second Cumby player making an appearance here is Dakari Johnson, and for good reason. He rushed for 128 yards on only 13 carries.
Unfortunately for Clarksville, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Johnson. Back in November of 2023 (the last time Johnson saw the Tigers), he rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries.
