Baseball Recap: Swink's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Swink was the 13-1 winner over Rocky Ford when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions took a 15-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Meloneers on Thursday. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Nick Paolucci made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. He is becoming a predictor of Swink's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-2 (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Nate Cabrera, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Swink's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Rocky Ford, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-4.
