Basketball Game Preview: Whitehorse Raiders vs. Rough Rock Sun Devils

The Whitehorse Raiders will take on the Rough Rock Sun Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Whitehorse is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.8 points per game this season.

Last Saturday, Whitehorse ended up a good deal behind Milford and lost 75-60. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Tigers are ranked 47th).

Loss or not, Whitehorse got some senior leadership from Kalin Tohonnie and Dominic Dance. Tohonnie posted 19 points, while Dance scored 17 points. Those 19 points gave Tohonnie a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hyatt Thomas, who earned ten points.

Meanwhile, Rough Rock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against Red Mesa, falling 71-49.

Rough Rock's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Whitehorse, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-7.
