University Prep hadn't done well against King recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Pumas put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 3-0 win. The Pumas were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Knights, so the Pumas were just returning the favor.

The victory made it two in a row for University Prep and bumps their season record up to 7-5. As for King's, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Looking ahead, University Prep will look to defend their home court on Friday against Eastside Prep at 6:30 p.m. As for King's, they will take on Skyline in a tournament on Saturday.
