Basketball Recap: Florala Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Straughn on Tuesday, Florala came back down to earth. The Wildcats were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 51-50 to the Opp Bobcats. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

DJ Hines was a one-man wrecking crew For Opp. as he dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 boards. Hines' big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Parker Burgess, who posted 13 points.

Florala's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Opp, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Florala didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-44 loss against Paxton on the 21st. As for Opp, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 59-48 victory against Georgiana on the 21st.
