Football Game Preview: Emery/Weiner vs. First Baptist Christian Warriors

Emery/Weiner will venture away from home to square off against the First Baptist Christian Warriors at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Emery/Weiner is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Emery/Weiner's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past Westbury Christian 46-0. Emery/Weiner might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 35 points or more this season.

Emery/Weiner's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nathan Valk led the charge by rushing for 139 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries. Another player making a difference was Sasha Fiterman, who gained 52 total yards and three touchdowns.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask First Baptist Christian). They walked away with a 106-95 victory over Logos Prep Academy on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won seven in a row.

Emery/Weiner's record is now 7-1. As for First Baptist Christian, their record now sits at 7-2.

Emery/Weiner couldn't quite finish off First Baptist Christian in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 and fell 69-66. Can Emery/Weiner avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
