Volleyball Recap: North Central Takes a Loss

North Central's tournament run continued when they took on Madison on Saturday. The Thunder fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1.

Lindsey Geier paced North Central's offense, picking up nine kills. Geier got some help from Camryn Witlock and her 17 assists. Finally, Ella Batie kept North Central's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Madison's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mara Klingbile, who had 12 digs. Grace Feige also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

North Central's loss dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Madison, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

North Central will square off against Leola/Frederick at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Madison, they will face off against Dakota Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
