Borrego Springs came out on top against Desert Mirage on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Rams walked away with an 8-4 win over the RAMS. The victory was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won six contests in a row.

Chris Alcaraz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Mauricio Rodriguez and Jordyn Navarro did most of the damage at the plate: Rodriguez went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Navarro went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Those three hits gave Navarro a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alexis Urquidez, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Borrego Springs' win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Desert Mirage, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
