Soccer Recap: Duchesne Comes Up Short

After flying high against Concordia last Tuesday, Duchesne came back down to earth. The Cardinals lost 5-1 to the Mercy Monarchs on Tuesday. Duchesne were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Evelyn Jeffreys, who's now up to two this season.

The loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 2-2. As for Mercy, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Duchesne will face off against Roncalli Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mercy, they will challenge Concordia at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Mercy will be up against Concordia's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.6 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
