Baseball Recap: Falmouth Navigators vs. Portland Bulldogs
While Falmouth put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Portland. The Navigators came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 5-0. The Navigators haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Not much got past Milo Matson, who gave up just two hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Portland off the board. Matson has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Caden Berry and Nick Wyse did most of the damage at the plate: Berry went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one double, while Wyse went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave Wyse a new career-high. Tyler Simmons also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Falmouth was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Portland only posted a batting average of .091.
Falmouth now has a winning record of 3-2-1. As for Portland, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.
