Volleyball Recap: West Bend West Takes a Loss

West Bend West kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 2-0 to the Catholic Memorial Crusaders. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Emmalee Heniadis paced West Bend West's offense, picking up eight kills. Heniadis got some help from Morgan Winkler and her 15 assists.

Catholic Memorial got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Aldyn Visner out in front who had 13 assists and six digs. Those 13 assists gave Visner a new career-high. Lucie Dvorak was another key player, getting nine digs and one assist.

West Bend West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Kimberly on the 29th. As for Catholic Memorial, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Wauwatosa East on the 29th.
