Basketball Recap: Kennedale Piles Up the Points Against Alvarado

Kennedale was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Alvarado on Friday. The Kennedale Wildcats breezed by the Alvarado Indians to the tune of 73-29. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-34 back in January.

Despite the defeat, Alvarado saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Cylee Morton posted ten points. That's the most points Morton has posted since back in December of 2024.

The win got Kennedale back to even at 15-15. As for Alvarado, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-19 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kennedale will challenge Life Waxahachie at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kennedale is facing Life Waxahachie at the right time seeing as Life Waxahachie is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Alvarado, they will face off against Ferris at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Alvarado will also cruise into their next contest with the timing on their side: Ferris will have lost five straight heading into Tuesday's match.
