It was fun while it lasted, but Weehawken's undefeated season came to an end after seven games on Wednesday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to the Ridgefield Memorial Royals. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Indians came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Royals are ranked 77th).

Having lost for the first time this season, Weehawken fell to 7-1. As for Ridgefield Memorial, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

When Weehawken and Ridgefield Memorial next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Weehawken will try to stop Lyndhurst's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Ridgefield Memorial will face off against Dwight-Englewood and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
