Granville had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Salem Generals a 2-0 shutout. Two seems to be a good number for the Golden Horde as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Granville pushed their record up to 13-2 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Salem, the loss snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 11-4 record.

Granville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Salem, they will head out on the road to square off against Lansingburgh at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
