Basketball Game Preview: Universal Academy Falcons vs. Foundation Christian Academy Panthers

Having just played yesterday, the Universal Academy Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Foundation Christian Academy Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Universal Academy's offense hasn't had much luck over their past six games, but Friday's match will give them a chance to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 48-10, which was the final score in Universal Academy's tilt against Bayshore Christian on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Foundation Christian Academy played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Sarasota Christian and fell 52-18. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Blazers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Maddy Rodriguez was Foundation Christian Academy's leading scorer, having posted six points.

Foundation Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Universal Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Universal Academy skirted past Foundation Christian Academy 30-28 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Universal Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
