Basketball Recap: Silverado Piles Up the Points Against Buena Park

Silverado saw some tournament action on Saturday. They blew past the Buena Park Coyotes 65-37. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 28 points or more this season.

Buena Park's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ernesto Portas, who went 7-for-13 en route to 15 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks, and Liam Gallego, who posted seven points and seven boards. Thanks to that strong game, Portas now owns an excellent 45.6% shooting accuracy.

Silverado's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Buena Park, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Silverado will be taking part in a tournament against Valley View at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Buena Park, they will take on San Clemente in a tournament on Tuesday. The Coyotes will be up against the Tritons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
