It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Aliso Niguel had no problem doing just that on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 7-6 victory over the Millikan Rams. Those seven points were actually the fewest the Wolverines have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Aliso Niguel didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Carson Etnire, CJ Holland, and Tate Fettig picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Millikan's side was Corey Lewis, who picked up two sacks and made eight total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Aliso Niguel is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Millikan, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Coming up, Aliso Niguel will welcome La Serna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Millikan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
