Volleyball Recap: Daniel Triumphs

Daniel saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against the Socastee Braves by a score of 2-0.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Daniel was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-12.

Zara Russell paced Daniel's offense, picking up nine kills. Russell got some help from Lydia Chasteen and her 17 assists. Anusha Venayagamoorthy controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The win got Daniel back to even at 1-1.

Daniel wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Easley on the 23rd. As for Socastee, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Chesnee on the 23rd.
