It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Andrew ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They skirted past the Plainfield East Bengals 4-3. The Thunderbolts haven't had any issues with the Bengals recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Andrew now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Plainfield East, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Andrew will challenge Conant at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Thunderbolts' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Plainfield East, they will face off against Neuqua Valley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bengals are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
